He is an expert on classic forms of Chinese medicine, and uniquely incorporates acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, neuro-emotional technique, nutritional and dietary consultation, psychotherapy, and medication management for the care of patients with a variety of emotional and physical illnesses, including chronic pain, stress, and anxiety. Dr. Yang completed his residency in psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University, completed a research fellowship in clinical psychopharmacology at Oxford University, and a bravewell fellowship in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona.

Dr. Yager received his medical training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed his residency in plastic surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was named Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery before entering into private practice. An award-winning researcher, Dr. Yager has been recognized by the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation and the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons. During his General Surgery Residency, he served as Chief Resident at a Level 1 Trauma Center; Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, NY. He then further honed his skills by completing training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. There he trained with renowned pioneers in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. Dr. Burko is a fully trained board eligible plastic surgeon which is a testament to his commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and quality for every patient.
