While some plastic surgeons refuse to see other doctors’ unhappy patients, I do not. In my 25+ years of private practice plastic surgery, I have now done thousands of abdominoplasties, both for women and men. Very few, if any, plastic surgeons have done more in an entire career.

I have been doing Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBL) or fat transfer to the buttocks for over 20 years. I do more than 150 of them every year, so I have learned a few things that may help you if it is a procedure you are considering. I will start by saying that the great majority of my patients are very happy with the results, and that every single one has an improvement in the size and shape of the buttocks.

The problems with BBL occurred seem to have come from fat being injected into and below the muscles. When I do a BBL, I am always above the muscle in the subcutaneous plane. Also, I always stay away from the lower inner area of the buttocks where the major blood vessels are.
